​Cheronimo is market testing demand for a low-cost, on-demand, delivered-to-your-door alternative for homeowners that prefer to do their own lawn care but have lost interest in shelling out hundreds of dollars to own all of the necessary equipment, cleaning it, repairing it, and storing it. Our theory is that there are homeowners out there that would gladly pay a small amount weekly or bi-weekly during the mowing season to rent a mower, trimmer, and blower, have it delivered to them when needed, hand it right back when done, and never again have to buy/clean/repair/store all of the equipment.

That test is taking place in what we call our Tier 1 Service Area, and it benefits from superior pricing based on what we would like to price the service at if demand proves strong. Those living in the Tier 2 Service Area receive the same exact service and equipment, but the pricing is at normal market rates.

The response that we get in the Tier 1 Service Area will drive whether or not to advance to Phase 2 of our testing, which would involve a substantial financial investment on our part to develop a specific proprietary technology that would allow us to expand the Tier 1 Service Area. Our fingers are crossed!

  • Is a deposit required prior to the start of this service?  There are some unfortunate realities to modern society that we need to protect ourselves from, so we do require a $200 pre-authorization on a credit or debit card of your choosing.  This is simply a hold on that account, but no money is actually withdrawn. Upon completion of service, that hold will be removed and you'll pay using your preferred means (cash, venmo, debit, or credit).
  • Should I get the extra battery?  We have customers that will make 3 hour reservations even though they know that they only have 90 minutes of work.  They just like the freedom to work at a leisurely pace, take breaks, check on the kids, or whatever.  So, in cases like this, if we assumed a 3-hour reservation meant 3 hours of pole saw work and thus automatically included an extra battery and increased the rental cost accordingly, these customers would pay more than necessary. So we leave it up to our customers to decide if paying for an extra battery is worthwhile. If you don't want to run the risk of running out of battery life before finishing, it would be a good idea to get the extra battery.
  • Should I get the Rapid Charger?  It's likely only necessary if you get the extra battery. And then you'd have up to 3 hours of battery power. That's a maximum though. If you are doing some serious work and never letting go of the power trigger, you'll get less than 3 hours combined out of the batteries. Let's say you get 1 hour each. After one hour, you put the depleted battery on the included standard charger and go back to work with the second battery. After one hour, the second battery is now depleted but the first battery isn't finished charging. It may take the standard charger an additional 1 hour and 25 minutes before it's finished fully charging the first battery. This is where the Rapid Charger would be beneficial as it would have you back in action again much more quickly after the second battery gets depleted.
